Dockerfile: self-contained image with corpus + Chroma + BM25 baked
in. Drawbar's compose pulls + runs without volume mounts. Built from
sources.json (labels schema), PRODUCT_NAME=crop_chem by default,
HYBRID_SEARCH=true (always-on for production quality). RERANK_URL +
OLLAMA_URL get set at compose time.

.gitea/workflows/refresh.yml: monthly cron (1st @ 06:00 UTC) does
full scrape → reindex → image push. Scrapes Bayer (~30 min) +
EPA PPLS row-crop filtered (~7h). Skips reindex+push if no corpus
diff. Tags pushed: :latest, :<sha12>, :corpus-<YYYY.MM.DD>.

.gitea/workflows/image-only.yml: on-demand or auto on code-only
pushes to main (paths: docs_mcp/, rag/, scrape/, requirements.txt,
Dockerfile, sources.json). Reindexes from committed corpus, builds
image, pushes. ~10 min vs ~9h full refresh.

.gitignore: corpus/ now COMMITTED (4,159 labels, 265 MB of .md +
sidecars). Lets image-only.yml rebuild indexes without re-scraping.
chroma/ + bm25/ still gitignored (regenerable binary indexes).

.dockerignore: drops venv, eval results, PLAN/README/CLAUDE.md,
deploy/, .git/ — keeps the image lean. corpus + chroma + bm25
explicitly NOT in dockerignore (those go INTO the image).

The amended label referred to above, submitted in connection with registration under the Federal
Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act, as amended, is acceptable. This approval does not
affect any conditions that were previously imposed on this registration. You continue to be
subject to existing conditions on your registration and any deadlines connected with them.
Your release for shipment of the product constitutes acceptance of these conditions. If these
conditions are not complied with, the registration will be subject to cancellation in accordance

would be misbranded and unlawful to sell or distribute under FIFRA section 12(a)(1)(E). 40
CFR 156.10(a)(5) list examples of statements EPA may consider false or misleading. In addition,
regardless of whether a website is referenced on your product’s label, claims made on the
website may not substantially differ from those claims approved through the registration process.

USER SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS
This product is to be used in liquid or slurry treaters only.
Mix thoroughly before use or use the entire container at one time.
Follow manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning/maintaining PRE. If no such instructions for washables exist
use detergent and hot water. Keep and wash PRE separately from other laundry.
Do not apply this product in a way that will contact workers or other persons, either directly or through drift.
Only protected handlers may be in the area during application. For any requirements specific to your State
or Tribe, consult the agency responsible for pesticide regulation.
For use in commercial seed treatment facilities, with the exception of application to barley, borage, canola,
cotton (delinted seed), crambe, field corn, flax, mustard seed, rapeseed, sorghum, sunflower, triticale, and
wheat, which may be made either in a commercial seed treatment facility or as an end-use seed treatment
on agricultural establishments at, or immediately before, planting.
This product is toxic to wildlife and highly toxic to aquatic invertebrates. For terrestrial uses, do not apply
directly to water, or to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas below the mean high
water mark. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwaters. Cover or incorporate
spilled treated seeds.
PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS
HAZARDS TO HUMANS AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS
CAUTION; Harmful if swallowed, absorbed through skin or inhaled. Avoid breathing vapor or spray mist.
Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)
Applicators and other handlers must wear:
1. Long-sleeved shirt and long pants,
2. Socks and shoes and
3. Chemical-resistant gloves: barrier laminate, butyl rubber >14 mils, nitrile rubber >14 mils, neoprene
rubber >14 mils, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) >14 mils, or Viton® >14 mils.
ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS
This product is highly toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment or residues on blooming crops or
weeds. Do not apply this product or allow to drift if bees are foraging the treatment area. Ensure that
planting equipment is functioning properly in accordance with manufacturer specification to minimize seed
coat abrasion during planting to reduce dust which can drift to blooming crops or weeds.
Users should
1. Wash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using the toilet.
2. Remove clothing immediately if pesticide gets inside. Then wash thoroughly and put on clean
clothing.
3. Remove PPE immediately after handling this product. Wash the outside of gloves before removing.
As soon as possible, wash thoroughly and change clothing.
AGRICULTURAL USE REQUIREMENTS
Use this product only in accordance with its labeling and with the Worker Protection Standard, 40CFR
part 170. This Standard contains requirements for the protection of agricultural workers on farms, forests,
nurseries, and greenhouses, and handlers of agricultural pesticides. It contains requirements fortraining,
decontamination, notification, and emergency assistance. It also contains specific instructions and
exceptions pertaining to the statements on this label about personal protective equipment (PPE) and

It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

by the Worker Protection Standard.
NITRO SHIELD® IV is an aqueous based flowable concentrate formulation with a proprietary formulation
that is intended to reduce seed dusting off and help reduce viscosity.
To delay insecticide resistance consider;
• Avoiding the consecutive use of NITRO SHIELD® IV or Group 4 insecticides that have a
similar target site of action, on the same insect/mite species.
• Using tank-mixtures or premixes with insecticides/acaricides from different target site of
action Groups as long as the involved products are all registered for the same use and
have different sites of action,
• Basing insecticide/acaricide use on a comprehensive IPM program.
• Monitoring treated insect/mite populations for loss of efficacy.
• Contacting your local extension specialist, certified crop advisors, and/or Winfield
Solutions, LLC representative for herbicide resistance management and/or integrated pest
management recommendations for specific site and resistant pest problems.
RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS
Nitro Shield IV contains a Group 4 Insecticide. Insect/mite biotypes with acquired resistance to
Group 4 insecticides/acaricides may eventually dominate the insect/mite population if Group 4
insectides/acaricides are used repeatedly in the same site or in successive years as the primary
method of control for targeted species. This may result in partial or total loss of control of those
species by Nitro Shield IV or other Group 4 insecticides/acaricides.
USE RESTRICTIONS
• Do not use as a planter (hopper) box treatment.
• California: Only for use in commercial seed treatment facilities, not allowed for “on farm” use.
• On Farm Treatment; Do not apply this product through any type of irrigation system.
• Do not use treated seed for feed, food, or oil purposes.
• Excess treated seed may be used for ethanol production only if (1) by-products are not used for
livestock feed and (2) no measurable residues of pesticides remain in the ethanol by-products that
are used in agronomic practice.
• Store away from feeds and foodstuffs.
• Treated seed must be planted into the soil at a depth greater than 1 inch.
• Treated seeds exposed on soil surface may be hazardous to wildlife. Cover or collect treated seeds
that are spilled during handling.
PRE required for early entry to treated areas that is permitted under the Worker Protection Standard and
that involves contact with anything that has been treated, such as plants, soil, or water is;

PRODUCT INFORMATION
NITRO SHIELD® IV is a neo-nicotinoid class insecticide intended to provide post planting residual control
of labeled insects during the critical germination stage of growth.
Exception: If the seed is treated with the product and the treated seed is soil-injected or soil­
incorporated, the Worker Protection Standard, under certain circumstances, allows workers to enter the
treated area if there will be no contact with anything that has been treated.

TANK MIXTURES
• It is the pesticide user’s responsibility to ensure that all products in a tank mix are registered for the
intended use.
• Users must follow the most restrictive directions and precautionary language of all products used in the
mixture.
• All tank mixes must be pre-tested to determine physical compatibility between formulations.
• This product can be mixed with fungicide products that are labeled for use on the same crops as NITRO
SHIELD® IV.
• Do not exceed labeled dosage rates.
• This product cannot be mixed with any product containing a label prohibition against such mixing.
STORED SEED PROTECTION
To protect stored seed of crops listed on this label apply a minimum of 1.0 fluid ounce of NITRO SHIELD®
IV per 100 pounds of seed. Pests controlled by this application include Indian Meal Moth {Plodia
inteipunctella), Rice Weevil {Sitophilus oryzea), Red Flour Beetle {Thbiolium castaneum), and Lesser
• Dispose of all excess treated seed. Leftover seed may be double sown around the headland or
buried away from water sources in accordance with local requirements.
• Do not contaminate water bodies when disposing of planting equipment wash water.
• In the event of crop failure or harvest of a crop grown from NITRO SHIELD® IV treated seed, the field
may be replanted immediately to artichoke, barley. Brassica (cole) leafy vegetables, borage, canola,
cilantro, corn (field or sweet), cotton, crambe, cranberry, cucurbits, eggplant, flax, groundcherry, leafy
petiole vegetables, leafy vegetables, legume vegetables (succulent or dried), mustard seed, oats,
okra, pepinos, pepper, popcorn, potato, rapeseed, sorghum, soybean, strawberry, sugarbeets,
sunflower, tomatillo, tomato, triticale, turnip greens, root and tuber vegetables, watercress, and
wheat. For cereals, including buckwheat, millet, rice and rye and for safflower, the minimum plant
back interval is 30 days from the date NITRO SHIELD® IV treated seed was planted. Cover crops for
soil building or erosion control may be planted at any time, but do not graze or harvest for food or
feed. For all other crops not listed on an imidacloprid label, or for crops for which no imidacloprid
tolerance for the active ingredient has been established, a 12-month plant-back interval must be
observed.
• Do not allow children, pets or livestock to have access to treated seed.
• The maximum application rate (all imidacloprid uses; seed treatment, foliar application, soil
application) per acre per year for imidacloprid is 0.4 lb. Do not use more than 0.4 lb. (181.44 g)
imidacloprid per acre per calendar year.
• Do not apply a neonicotinoid insecticide within 45 days of planting seed treated with NITRO SHIELD®
IV.
• Notification of the crop rotational restriction must be conveyed to the grower by appropriate seed tag
labeling or bag printing on all seed units.
• The purchaser of this product is responsible for ensuring that all seeds treated with this product are
adequately dyed with a suitable color to prevent its accidental use as food for man or feed for
animals. Refer to 21 CFR, Part 2.25. Any dye or colorant added to treated seed must be cleared for
use under 40 CFR, Part 180.1001. Federal regulations have established official tolerances for certain
pesticide residues. In order that residues on food and forage crops will not exceed established
tolerances, use only at labeled rates.
• Treated seed must not be used for or mixed with food or animal feed or processed for oil. Seed
commercially treated with NITRO SHIELD® IV must be labeled in accordance with all applicable
requirements under the Federal Seed Act.
• Labels for commercially treated seed should include the following addition to the Environmental
Hazards statements:
Exposed treated seed may be hazardous to birds. Dispose of all excess treated seed and
seed packaging by burial away from bodies of water. Cover or incorporate spilled treated
seeds.
• Rape greens grown and harvested from NITRO SHIELD® IV treated seed must not be used for
human and feed consumption. Rapeseed grown and harvested from treated seed is only for
industrial uses and cannot be used for edible oil or any other human/feed consumption.

Apply specified dosage as a diluted spray onto seed pieces using a shielded spray system. Dilute with 3
parts water, or less, to 1 part NITRO SHIELD® IV. Agitate or stir spray solution as needed. Fungicidal or

SEED BAG LABELING REQUIREMENTS
Seed commercially treated with this product must be labeled in accordance with all applicable
requirements of the Federal Seed Act. The user of this product is responsible for ensuring that the seed
bag meets all requirements under the Federal Seed Act.
ROTATIONAL CROPS
Treated areas may be replanted with any crop specified on an imidacloprid label, or any crop for which a
tolerance exists for the active ingredient, as soon as practical following the last application. The following
plant-back intervals must be observed for listed crops;
• Pollinator Precautions; Imidacloprid is highly toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment or residues on
blooming crops or weeds. Ensure that planting equipment is functioning properly in accordance with
manufacturer specification to minimize seed coat abrasion during planting to reduce dust which can
drift to blooming crops or weeds.
• Do not graze or feed livestock on treated areas for 45 days after planting Oil Seed Crops (canola,
rapeseed, mustard seed, flax, crambe, borage, safflower and sunflower). Corn (field, sweet and
popcorn). Cereal Grains (wheat, barley, oats, rye, and triticale). Sorghum and Millet, Cotton, Sugar
Beet, Vegetable Seed (beans, peas, and carrots) and Potatoes. For soybeans, do not graze or feed
livestock forage or hay.
• Store away from feeds and foodstuffs.
• Wear long-sleeved shirt, long pants and chemical-resistant gloves when handling treated seed.
• Treated seeds exposed on soil surface may be hazardous to wildlife. Cover or collect treated seeds
that are spilled during handling.
• Treated seed must be planted into the soil at a depth of greater than 1 inch.
• Dispose of all excess treated seed. Leftover seed may be double sown around the headland or
buried away from water sources in accordance with local requirements.
* Cover crops for soil building or erosion control may be planted any time, but do not graze or harvest for
food or feed.

Pressure rinse as follows (all sizes): Empty the remaining contents into application equipment or a mix
tank and continue to drain for 10 seconds after the flow begins to drip. Hold container upside down over
application equipment or mix tank or collect rinsate for later use or disposal. Insert pressure rinsing nozzle
in the side of the container, and rinse at about 40 PSI for at least 30 seconds. Drain for 10 seconds after
the flow begins to drip.
(non-refillable <5 gallons): Triple rinse as follows; Empty the remaining contents into application
equipment or a mix tank and drain for 10 seconds after the flow begins to drip. Fill the container % full with
water and recap. Shake for 10 seconds. Pour rinsate into application equipment or a mix tank or store
rinsate for later use or disposal. Drain for 10 seconds after the flow begins to drip. Repeat this procedure
two more times.
(non-refillable >5 gallons): Triple rinse as follows; Empty the remaining contents into application
equipment or a mix tank. Fill the container % full with water. Replace and tighten closures. Tip container
on its side and roll it back and forth, ensuring at least one complete revolution, for 30 seconds. Stand the
container on its end and tip it back and forth several times. Empty the rinsate into application equipment
or a mix tank or store rinsate for later use or disposal. Repeat this procedure two more times.
STORAGE AND DISPOSAL
PROHIBITIONS: Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage, disposal, or by cleaning of equipment.
Do not reuse empty container. Open dumping is prohibited.
PESTICIDE STOf^GE: Store in a cool place. Do not store in direct sunlight. Protect from freezing
temperatures.
PESTICIDE DISPOSAL: Wastes resulting from the use of this product may be disposed of on site or at an
approved waste disposal facility.
CONTAINER DISPOSAL:
Non-refillable containers (1,2.5,30 & 55 gallon): Do not reuse or refill this container. Offer for recycling,
if available. Triple rinse or pressure rinse container (or equivalent) promptly after emptying.
• Do not contaminate water bodies when disposing of planting equipment wash water.
• Dispose of seed packaging in accordance with local requirements.
• In the event of crop failure or harvest of a crop grown from NITRO SHIELD® IV treated seed, the field
may be replanted immediately to artichoke, barley, borage. Brassica (cole) leafy vegetables, canola,
cilantro, corn (field or sweet), cotton, crambe, cranberry, cucurbits, eggplant, flax, groundcherry, leafy
petiole vegetables, leafy vegetables, legume vegetables (succulent or dried), mustard seed, oats,
okra, pepinos, pepper, popcorn, potato, rapeseed, sorghum, soybean, strawberry, sugarbeet,
sunflower, tomatillo, tomato, triticale, turnip greens, root and tuber vegetables, watercress, and
wheat. For cereals, including buckwheat, millet, rice and rye and for safflower, the minimum plant
back interval is 30 days from the date NITRO SHIELD® IV treated seed was planted. Cover crops for
soil building or erosion control may be planted at any time, but do not graze or harvest for food or
feed. For all other crops not listed on an imidacloprid label, or for crops for which no imidacloprid
tolerance for the active ingredient has been established, a 12 month plant-back interval must be
observed.
• Do not allow children, pets, or livestock to have access to treated seed.
• The maximum application rate (all imidacloprid uses; seed treatment, foliar application, soil
application) per acre per year for imidacloprid is 0.4 lb. Do not use more than 0.4 lb. (181.44 g)
imidacloprid per acre per calendar year.
• This seed has been treated with X mg imidacloprid per seed.
• Do not apply a neonicotinoid insecticide within 45 days of planting seed treated with NITRO SHIELD®
IV.
• Excess treated seed may be used for ethanol production only if (1) by-products are not used for
livestock feed and (2) no measurable residues of pesticides remain in the ethanol by products that
are used in agronomic practice.
• Rape greens grown and harvested from NITRO SHIELD® IV treated seed must not be used for human
and feed consumption. Rapeseed grown and harvested from treated seed is only for industrial uses
and cannot be used for edible oil or any other human/feed consumption.

Refillable container (250 gallon & bulk): Refill this container with pesticide only. Do not reuse this
container for any other purpose. Cleaning the container before final disposal is the responsibility of the

To clean the container before final disposal, empty the remaining contents from this container into
application equipment or mix tank. Fill the container about 10 percent full with water. Agitate vigorously or
recirculate water with the pump for 2 minutes. Pour or pump rinsate into application equipment or rinsate
collection system. Repeat this rinsing procedure two more times.
