Risks can be reduced by ciosely fol­ lowing use directions and precau­ tions and by wearing the protective clothing specified elsewhere on this label. Corrosive. Causes irreversible eye damage. Harmful if swallowed or absorbed through the skin. Do not get in eyes or on olothing. Avoid con­ tact with skin. Prolonged or frequently repeated skn contact may cause allergic reactions in some individuals_ Personal Protective Equipment (pPE) Applicators and other handlers must wear: • Long-sleeved shirt and long pants • Waterproof gloves • ShOes plus socks • Protective eyewear 'card clothing and other Joment materials that have been drenched or heavily contaminated with this product's concentrate. J er Safety Recommendations ers should: • Wash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the toilet. • Remove ciothing immediately if pes­ ticide gets inside. Then wash thor- 0ughy and put on clean clothing. • Remove PPE immediately after han­ dling this product. Wash the outside of gloves before removing. As soon as possible, wash thoroughly and change into clean clothing. Statement of Practical Treatment If in eyes: Hold eyelids open and flush with a steady, gentle stream of water for 15 minutes. Get medical attention. If swallowed: Call a doctor or get rnedical atention. Do not Induce vomiting or gIVe any1tJing by mOlJlh to a'1 unconscious person. Drink promptly a large quantity of milk, egg VJhitcs. gelatin solution, or if these are nut availab!e, drinklarge quanti­ ties of water. Avoid alcohol. If on skin: Wash wilh plenty of soap and water. Get medical attention. Note to physician: Probably mucousal damage may contraindi­ cate the use of gastric lavage . Environmental Hazards For terrestrial uses, do not apply directly to water, or to areas where surface water is present I or to inter­ tidal areas below the mean high water mark. Do not contaminate water ""hen disposing of equipment wash waters. Do not apply when weather conditions favor drift from target area. Bentazon and fome­ safen are present in this product. Bentazon is known to leach through soil into groundwater under certain conditions as a result of agricultural use. Fomesafen sodium is also known to leach through soil into ground water under certain condi­ tions as a result of label use. Use of this product in areas where soils are permeable, particularly where the water table is shallow, may result in ground-water contamination. Directions for use It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Do not apply this product in a way that will contact workers or other persons, either directly or through drift. Only protected handlers may be in the area during application. For any requirements speCific to your Slate or Tribe, consu:! the agency responsible for pesticide regulation. Agricultural Use Requirements Use this product only in accordance with its labeling and with the Worker Protection Standard, 40 CFR part t 70. This standard contains requirements for tho protection of agricultural work­ ers on farms, forests, nurseries, and greenhouses, and I,andlers of agricul­ tural pesticides. It contains require­ ments for training, decontamination, notification. and emergency assis­ tance. It also contains specific instruc­ tions and exceptions pertaining to the statements on this label about person­ al protective equipment (prE), and restricted entry interval. The require­ ments in this box only apply to uses of this product that are covered by the Worker Protection Standard. Do not enter or allow worker entry to treated areas during the restricted entry interval REI of 48 hours.
