PREPAR:\TIO~1 OF TI-IE SPRAY: Fill the spray tar.k with 
half the required amount of ,·:ater; then add the 
recommended amount of ~lIDLAND LOH-VOLATILE 2,4'·0 
WEED KILLER with agitation and cO:ltinue filling the 
spray tank \<lith water. Use enough water per acre to 
give uniform coverage. TIle amount of water required 
for lou volume applications may vary from 5 to 25 
gallons per acre. For high volume applications 
100 gallons, or mor~, of water will be needed for 
good coverage. In any case, use the same amount 
of 2,4-0 re'-:oIL'Tlended per acre. 
Avoid qpray drift to sus;eptible plants such as cotton, 
tomatoes, flowers, grapes, f=uit trees, and orn2~entals. 
Spr3Y drift may cause SL:vere injury to both grm.,ring 
and dormant plants. Coarse sprays ~re less likely to 
drift. Altllough this ester is much less volatile than 
butyl or isopropyl esters, higll temperLltures may produce 
vapcrs after application Hhich might injure 2,4-0-
sensitive plants groHing nearby. This spray way cause 
injury to berttgras3, St. Augustine grass, and Dichondra.

be used as a no! -selective spray for tile control of certain deep rooted perennials and

DIRECTIONS FOR USE 
The following do~ages are suggcsted on growing resistant crops for the control of sus­
ceptible weeds, such as mllstard, Frenchweed, arrowhead, cocklebur, dandelion, gumweed. 
marsh elder, hedge binJ\,'ced, pig\.;eed, ragweed, field horsetail, plantain and similar 
susceptible spcci.es. 
~A'L .O~TS,._RYE--t.:se 1/2 to I pint BIOLAND LOI·I-VOlATILE 2,4-0 \-lEED KITJLER per acre in 
sufficient water to obtain gooJ coverage with the spray equipment at hand. It is reco~­
mended that the lower dosage be used for Ilighly susceptible weeds, whereas the higher 
dosage level may be necessary for the control of more ~~sistant weeds. Spray these 
crops \vhen fully stooled or tillered, usually when plants nre 4 to 8 inches high. Do 
not spray from boot to milk stage or in seedl1ng stage. Do nct use on grains undersown 
with legumes such as clover or alfalfa unless some legume injury can be tolerated. Do 
not forage or graze treated grain fields within 2 weeks after treatment with 2,4-D. 
CORN--Use 1/2 to I pint NIDLA.ND LOl-i-VOLATILE 2,4-0 WEED KILLER per acre in sufficient 
water to obtain good coverage with the spray equipment at hand. Make application follow­
ing emergence of majority of weeds but before weeds have damaged the corn. It can be 
applied anytime between the two-leaf stage and the start of tasseling, CAUTION: The 
sprays should be applied in such a way as t~ keep the 2,4-0 off the corn leaves and 
stalks except for a few inellcs at ground level. Applications made after the corn is 
10 inches high should be made with the use of drop nozzles. Strains and varieties of 
corn vary in their tolerance to 2,4-0 and particular care should be exercised in using 
ester formulations. 
PASTURES--To control many broadle3vC'c! weeds in_pastures, ,meadO\o,TS and ranz~lands, usc 
2 pints of HI~L\~D LOI.J-VOLATILE 2,i;-D \{SED KILLER in sufficient \.,rater to provide for 
uniform application. Treat pastures when weeds are grm,ring actively. Do not apply lJ 
recently seeded pastures until grass is well established. ;:';ost leguTI''O's are usually 
injured or killed at the r&_es recommended. For control of wild gsrlic and onion in 
pastures, apply 2 to 3 qClarts per acre in very early spring an~d~ repeat annually until
