PERSONAL PROTECTfVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) Applicators and other handlers must wear: Long-sleeved shirt and lOng pants, chemical-resistant gloves such as barrier laminate or viton and sh~s plus socks. For expOSure in enclosed areas: A respirator with an organic vapor- removing cartridS;€ with a prefilter approved for pesticides (MSHN NIOSH approval number prefix TC-14G). USER SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS Users should: 1) Wash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using the toilet. 2) Remove clothing Immediately if pesticide gets inside. Then wash thoroughly and put on clean clothing. 3) Remove PPE immediately after handling this product. Wash the outside of gloves before removing. As soon 8S possible, wash thoroughly and change into clean clothing. ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS This pesticide is toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates. Drift and runoff may be hazardous to aquatic organisms in neighboring areas. For ter­ restrial uses, do not apply directly to water or to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. When applying this product, use sufficient spray or dust to thoroughly cover all foliage, fruit ~nd surfaces to be protected. AGRICULTURAL USE REQUIREMENTS Use this product only in accordance with its labeling and with the 'Worker Protection Standard, 40 CFR Part 170. This standard con­ tains requirements tor the protection 01 agricultural WOrkers on farms, forests, nurseries, greenhouses and handlers of agricultural pesticides. II contains requirements for training, decontamination, notification and emergency assistance. It also contains specific instructions and exceptions pertaining to the statements on this label about personal protective equipment (PPE), restricted entry interval (REI) and norification to workers. The requirements in this box only apply to uses of this product that are covered by the Worker Protection Standard. Do not enter or allow worker entry into treated areas during the restricted entry interval of 12 hours. PPE required for early entry to treated areas that is permitted un· der the Worker Protection Standard and that involves contact with anything that has been treated, such as ptants, sailor water is: Coveralls, chemical resistant gloves such as barrier laminate or viton and shoes plus socks. This application will usualy be applied in March in the Southern States and in Aprll in the NOIIhern Slates. Use 2 10 3 gallons 0' spray solution, wetting all surftlces thoroughly. Second application should be made 2 to 3 months .lter first treatment. Reduce the active ingredient to 6% for mist blower and 1% for conventional sprayer. Cover all leaf and bark surfaces. Control of Elm Leafhopper (Vectors of Elm Phloem Necroala)­ Apply first application when elm leaves are fully grown. Use. 6% spray solution 01 this prOduct with a mist blower or a 1% IJIray solution in a conventional sprayer. This application will be mllCle in May in the Southern States and in June in the Northern Slates. Thoroughly cover all leaf surfaces. When second flush of growlh appears, usually 1 to 2 months after first treatment, repeal the above application covering all leaf surfaces thoroughly. In tItose states where both the Elm leafhopper and Elm leal beetle are btown to be present, a three·spray schedule will provide effective con- trol. Apply protective spray before elm flowers or leaves sprout, then follow With second protective spray 2 to 3 months after the first. Apply the third protective spray about 1 to 3 months aller the second protective spray. Be sure to thoroughly cover all bark Bnd foliar surfaces with each protective spray. STORAGE AND DISPOSAL Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage and disposal. STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS: Storage should be under lock and key and secure (rom access by unauthorized persons and chil· dren. Storage should be In a cool, dry area away from heat or Ignition source. Do not allow storage in a damp or hUmid area. 00 not stack bags over 2 pallets high. Move bags carefully so as not to tear or puncture. 00 nol move from one area to an­ other unless they are securely sealed to prevent dust from escaping. Keep container tightly sealed when not in use. Keep away from any puncture source. Avoid storage near water supplies, food, feed and fertilizer to avoid contamination. Avoid contamination with acids and alkalies. Wash area with soap and water to remove remaining pestiCide. 3. Follow washing with clear water rinse. 4. Do not allow runoff to enter sewer or contaminate water supplies. 5. Dispose of waste as indica fed below: PESTICIDE DISPOSAL: Wastes resulting from the use of this product may be disposed of on site or at an approved waste disposal facility. CONTAINER DISPOSAL: Completely empty bag into application eqvipment. Then dispose of empty bag in sanitary landJilI or by incineration or, if allowed by State and Local authorities, by burning.
