For each type of seed use the recommended slurry con· centration, the proper size slurry bucket and the correct seed gate in the slurry treater. Seeds may be treated at any time atter being well cured. . Arasan" SF·X should not be used In commer· cial dust treaters. Prepare "Arasan" SF·X slurry or water suspen· sion by mixing the powder with water at the rates shown in the table. Weigh powder accu· rately and measure water carefully. Prepara· tion of the slurry may be carried out in the slurry tank on the treater by measuring into it the desired number of gallons of water and then adding the correct amount of HArasan" SF·X for each gallon I)f water. If it is desirable to prepare slurries in large con· tainers for addition to the treoter tank, entire contents should be thoroughly agitated before withdrawing any of the slurry. Gladiolus Bulbs-Treat any time after drying. Dip bulbs in a suspension made by mixing 1 lb. "Arasan" SF·X in 8 gals. of water. Agitate the suspension frequently. If bulbs are to be stored, spread out to dry. Peanuts-Treat promptly after shelling.
