LH 5199 SS/LFY is a very high-yielding silage corn that is excellent under stress. It features a big, girthy ear on a white cob. It maintains tonnage levels even at lower planting populations by increasing stalk and ear size. This was Lathams first release as a silage specific SmartStax hybrid and is still the hybrid that all others are compared against. Its not intended for use as a grain hybrid.
