APPLICATION DIRECTIONS IMPORTANT
FAILURE TO OBSERVE THE DIRECTIONS IN THIS SECTION OF THE LABEL MAY RESULT IN INJURY TO SENSITIVE PLANTS
x The microencapsulation of clomazone, the active ingredient in Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide, is intended to minimiz e
movement away from the site of application. Avoid making applications when spray particles may be carried by air currents to areas
where sensitive crops and plants are growing. Leave an adequate buffer zone between the area to be treated and desirable plants.
x PRECAUTIONS: Foliar contact with spray drift or vapors may cause foliar whitening or yellowing of sensitive plants. Symptoms are
generally temporary in nature but may persist on some plant species.
Application restrictions must be taken as follows:
x Observe all buffer restrictions.
x Before application, determine air movement and direction.
Refer to individual crop use directions for additional requirements.

x DO NOT apply when wind speeds exceed 15 miles per hour at the application site.
x DO NOT apply during temperature inversions.
SPRAY DRIFT MANAGEMENT ADVISORIES
THE APPLICATOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR AVOIDING OFF-SITE SPRAY DRIFT.
BE AWARE OF NEARBY NON-TARGET SITES AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS.
IMPORTANCE OF DROPLET SIZE
An effective way to reduce spray drift is to apply large droplets. Use the largest droplets that provide target pest control. While applying larger droplets will
reduce spray drift, the potential for drift will be greater if applications are made improperly or under unfavorable environmental conditions.
Controlling Droplet Size - Ground Boom
x Volume - Increasing the spray volume so that lar ger droplets are produced will reduce spray drift. Use the highest practical spray
volume for the application. If a greater spray volume is needed, consider using a nozzle with a higher flow rate.
x Pressure - Use the lowest spray pressure recommended for the nozzle to produce the target spray volume and droplet size.
x Spray Nozzle -Use a spray nozzle that is designed for the intended application. Consider using nozzles designed to reduce drift.
BOOM HEIGHT - Ground Boom
For ground equipment, the boom should remain level with the crop and have minimal bounce.
SHIELDED SPRAYERS
Shielding the boom or individual nozzles can reduce spray drift. Consider using shielded sprayers. Verify that the shields are not interfering with the
uniform deposition of the spray on the target area.
TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY
When making applications in hot and dry conditions, use larger droplets to reduce effects of evaporation.
TEMPERATURE INVERSIONS
Drift potential is high during a temperature inversion. Temperat ure inversions are characterized by increasing temperature with altitude and are
common on nights with limited cloud cover and light to no wind. The presence of an inversion can be indicated by ground fog or by the movement
of smoke from a ground source or an aircraft smoke generator. Smoke that layers and moves laterally in a concentrated cloud (un der low wind
conditions) indicates an inversion, while smoke that moves upwar d and rapidly dissipates indicates good vertical air mixing. Av oid applications
during temperature inversions.
WIND
Drift potential generally increases with wind speed. AVOID APPLICATIONS DURING GUSTY WIND CONDITIONS. Applicators need to be familiar
with local wind patterns and terrain that could affect spray drift.

MIXING AND HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS FOR BULK/MINI-BULK CONTAINERS
Equipment Requirements:
Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide is a Microencapsulated Herb icide and requires a diaphragm type pump in order to maintai n product
quality.
Dispensing Instructions:
When ready to dispense Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide fr om the container, the applicator needs to recirculate the prod uct in the
container, if the product has settled or separated, for approximately 5 minutes or until the product is thoroughly turned over. Once the product is
thoroughly recirculated, the applicator may then begin the process of dispensing Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide into the spray tank,
loading or mixing system.
RESTRICTIONS
x DO NOT use gear or piston-type pumps
x The dealer/applicator must wear proper clothing/PPE as listed under Agricultural Use Requirements section above.
MIXING AND LOADING INSTRUCTIONS
Care must be taken when mixing Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide. Avoid mixing in areas adjacent to desirable plants. Movement
from spray drift, vapors or runoff can cause bleaching or chlorosis of sensitive plants.
Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide Alone: Mix Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide with water or liquid fertilizer in the
following manner: Fill the spray tank one-half to three-fourths full with water or liquid fertilizer, add the proper amount of Command 3ME
Microencapsulated Herbicide, then add the rest of the water or liquid fertilizer. Provide sufficient agitation during and throu ghout mixing and
application to maintain a uniform spray mixture.
Tank Mixtures: It is the pesticide user’s responsibility to ensure that all products are registered for the intended use. Read and follow the
applicable restrictions and limitations and directions for use on all product labels involved in tank mixing. Users must follow the most restrictive
directions for use and precautionary statements of each product in the tank mixture.
1. Add 1/4 to 1/2 of the required amount of clean water and/or fertilizer to the spray or mixing tank.
2. While maintaining agitation, continue filling the spray tank. When the spray tank is 3/4 full, add any dry formulation (DF, WG) tank mix
partners and allow them to completely and uniformly disperse.
3. Add the required amount of Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide to the spray tank while maintaining agitation. After the product
has completely and uniformly dispersed into the tank mix, add any other liquid tank mix partners and allow them to completely and
uniformly disperse.
4. Add the proper amount of spray adjuvant and continue agitation while adding the remaining water and/or fertilizer.
5. Complete filling the tank with clean water and/or fertilizer and always maintain sufficient agitation to ensure surface action until the
mixture is uniform.
6. After use, thoroughly clean the sprayer according to this label (see Cleaning Spray Equipment) and any tank mix partner labe ls.
Fertilizer Spray Mixtures: Applications of Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide alone, or with labeled tank mix partners, in
conjunction with fertilizer solutions may be used unless any label use direction specifically states otherwise. Small quantities need to be tested
for compatibility by the following procedure before mixing tankful quantities.
Compatibility Test
A jar test is advised before mixing to ensure Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide compatibility with tank mix partners and adjuvants.
The following test assumes a spray volume of 25 gallons per acre. For other spray volumes, make appropriate changes in the ingredient rates.
1. Add 1.0 pt. of water to each of 2 one-quart jars. Note: Use the same source of water and the other components in the compatibility test
that will actually be tank mixed and applied. It is important that all components are mixed at a temperature similar to the temperature of
those used for the actual application.
2. To one of the jars, add 1/4 tsp. or 1.2 milliliters of a compatibility agent approved for this use (1/4 tsp. is equivalent to 2 pt/100 gallons
spray). Shake or stir gently to mix.
3. To both jars, add the appropriate amount of herbicide(s). If more than one herbicide is used, add them separately in this order 1) dry
herbicides, 2) flowables, then 3) emulsifiable concentrates. Finally, add the appropriate amount of any adjuvants that will be used. After
each addition, shake or stir gently to thoroughly mix.
a. Dry Herbicides and Adjuvants: For each pound to be applied per acre, add 1.4 tsp. to each jar.
b. Liquid Herbicides and Adjuvants: For each pint to be applied per acre, add 0.5 tsp. or 2.5 milliliters to each jar.
4. After adding all ingredients for the tank mixture, replace and tighten lids. Shake jars by inverting the mixture and then let stand for 15 to
30 minutes.
5. After waiting period, check jars for separation, precipitates, flakes, films on the side, gels or other signs of incompatibility. If mixtures
separate but can be remixed, the mixture can be sprayed as long as good agitation is used.
6. If the mixtures are incompatible, then try these methods to overcome the problem. A) Make a slurry of dry pesticides in water before
adding them to the tank B) Add a compatibility agent or increase the water volume of the mixture.
7. If tank mixtures are incompatible, then DO NOT spray the mixture. (Properly dispose of testing jars and any pesticide waste).
SPRAYER CLEANUP
DO NOT drain or flush equipment on or near desirable trees or other plants, or in areas where their roots may extend or in locations where the
chemical may be washed or move into contact with their roots. DO NOT contaminate any body of water including irrigation water that may be
used on other crops. Carefully follow sprayer clean-up instructions noted below to prevent spray tank residues from damaging other crops.
Sprayer equipment needs to be thoroughly rinsed to remove residues of herbicide that might injure other subsequently sprayed cr ops. The
steps below need to be followed for the thorough rinsing of spray equipment following applications of Command 3ME Microencapsul ated
Herbicide alone or tank mixed with other labeled products.
5
1. Drain any remaining spray solution from tank, pump, hoses and boom and discard in an approved manner (See Note that follows).
2. Clean tank and fittings by:
x Thoroughly hosing down the inside walls of the spray tank with a quantity of water equal to 1/8 of the total tank capacity and
operating the pump to circulate this solution through the sprayer system for 15 minutes.
x Washing down the outside surfaces of equipment.
x Removing nozzle tip and screen from end nozzle in each boom section and allowing several gallons of rinsate solution to flush
completely through boom (collect rinsate while flushing).
3. Thoroughly drain remaining rinsate solution from tank, pump and hoses. Combine with boom flushing and dispose of all rinsates f rom
this first rinsing in an approved manner (see Note that follows).
4. When switching from water dilutions to applications utilizing crop oil or liquid fertilizer as a carrier, a small volume of cro p oil or liquid
fertilizer need to be flushed through the tank, pump, hoses, and boom prior to the next use. Dispose of crop oil or liquid fertilizer rinsate
in an approved manner (see Note for local, state and federal guidelines).
5. Remove the remaining nozzle tips, and screens and the line filter and wash in a pail of warm soapy water, thoroughly rinse and
replace.
6. Hose down the inside walls of the spray tank a second time and circulate this solution using the same procedure as noted in #2 above.
7. If the next use of the sprayer will be for applying a preplant in corporated or preemergence pesticide on any crop for which Com mand 3ME
Microencapsulated Herbicide is registered, rinsate from this second rinsing may be utilized by diluting with the water for the next pesticide
load. When Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide is used in tank mixture with other labeled herbicide(s), refer to the dispos al
directions for the most restrictive herbicide in the tank mixture.
HOWEVER
If the next use of the sprayer will be a postemergence pesticide applied on any crop, drain rinsate solution from this second rinsing. Rinsate
solution from the second tank rinse may only be applied to crops in accordance with labeled use directions for Command 3ME Micr oencapsulated
Herbicide. When used in tank mixture with other labeled herbicid es, follow the most restrictive sprayer cleanup use directions. Refill tank (after
draining second rinsate solution) in accordance with postemergence product label directions.
NOTE: Dispose of excess spray mixture and/or rinsate from first tank rinsing by application to registered crops as described on this label. If
excess spray mixture and/or rinsate from first rinsing cannot be disposed of according to label instructions, dispose of in compliance with local,
state and federal guidelines. Contact your state pesticide or Environmental Control Agency or the Hazardous Waste representativ e at the
nearest EPA regional office for guidance.

Banded Applications—Calculate the rates and volumes required by using the following formulas:
Banded rate per acre = Band Width in Inches X Broadcast rate per acre Row Width in Inches
Banded volume per acre =
Band Width in Inches
X Broadcast volume per acre
Row Width in Inches
Cultivation After Planting
If cultivation is necessary because of soil crusting, compaction, or weed emergence, soil treated with Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide
may be shallow-cultivated (no deeper than 1.5 - 2”) or rotary-hoed without reducing the efficacy of Command 3ME Microencapsulat ed Herbicide.
Avoid deep cultivation which may bring untreated soil to the surface and result in poor weed control.

WEED RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT
Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide, which contains the active ingredient clomazone is a group 13 herbicide based on the mode of action
(MOA) classification system of the Weed Science Society of America.
Proactively implementing diversified weed control strategies to minimize selection for weed populations resistant to one or more herbicides is a best
practice. A diversified weed management program may include the use of multiple herbicides with different sites of action and o verlapping weed
spectrum with or without tillage operations and/or other cultural practices. Research has demonstrated that using the labeled rate and directions for
use is important to delay the selection for resistance.
The continued effectiveness of this product depends on the successful implementation of a weed re sistance management program. T o aid in the
prevention of developing weeds resistant to this product, users should:
x Scout fields before application to ensure herbicides and rates will be appropriate for the weed species and weed sizes present.
x Start with a clean field, using either a burndown herbicide application or tillage.
x Control weeds early when they are relatively small (less than 4 inches) with a postemergence herbicide.
x To minimize resistance, apply full labeled rates of Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide.
x Scout fields after application to detect weed escapes or shifts in control of weed species.
x Control weed escapes before they reproduce by seed or proliferate vegetatively.
x Report any incidence of non-performance of this product against a particular weed to your FMC representative, consultant, local retailer,
or county extension agent.
x Contact your FMC representative, crop advisor, or extension agent to find out if suspected resistant weeds to this MOA have bee n found
in your region.
x If resistant biotypes of target weeds have been reported, use the application rates of this product specified for your local conditions. Tank
mix products so that there are multiple effective sites of actions for each target weed.
x If resistance is suspected, treat weed escapes with an herbicide having a site of action other than Group 13 and/or use nonchem ical
methods to remove escapes, as practical, with the goal of preventing further seed production.
x Suspected herbicide-resistant weeds may be identified by these indicators:
- Failure to control a weed species normally controlled by the herbicide at the dose applied, especially if control is achieved on
adjacent weeds.
- A spreading patch of non-controlled plants of a particular weed species; and
- Surviving plants mixed with controlled individuals of the same species.
7
x Additionally, users should follow as many of the following herbicide resistance management practices as is practical:
- Use a broad-spectrum soil-applied herbicide with other sites of action as a foundation in a weed control program.
- Utilize sequential applications of herbicides with alternative sites of action.
- Rotate the use of this product with non-Group 13 mode of action herbicides.
- Avoid making more than two applications of Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide and any other Group 13 herbicides
within a single growing season unless mixed with an herbicide with a different site of action with an overlapping spectrum for
the difficult-to-control weeds.
- Incorporate non-chemical weed control practices, such as mechanical cultivation, crop rotation, cover crops and weed-free
crop seeds, as part of an integrated weed control program.
- Use good agronomic principles that enhance crop development and crop competitiveness.
- Thoroughly clean plant residues from equipment before leaving fields suspected to contain resistant weeds.
- Manage weeds in and around fields during and after harvest to reduce weed seed production.

*Partially Controlled
1 Weed control with Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide can vary and is highly influenced by a combination of soil texture, C EC, soil moisture and application rate.
Experience from previous use is important for determining product use rate selection to ensure optimum weed control and avoid e xcessive crop chlorosis or bleaching. Use higher
label rates based on soil texture criteria for fields with a history of heavy weed pressure and for extended residual weed cont rol. For target weed species in fields that have previously
been in conservation programs or where heavy weed pressure is anticipated and/or based on previous use history and performance. For fields that have previously been in
conservation programs, use a minimum application rate of 53 fl oz/A for cocklebur or common ragweed control.
2 Italian ryegrass control from 16+ fl oz/A on coarse soils only.
3 For heavy weed pressure or heavy soil textures, use 27 fl oz/A to control velvetleaf or spurred anoda.
4 At 32 fl oz/A use rate.
5 Use in AR/LA/MS/TX/OK only—for high pressure and heavy soils use 53 fl oz/A.
6 For suppression/control of itchgrass, DO NOT incorporate Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide. For high weed pressure and heavy soils use 53.3 fl oz/A.

Cover crops may be planted anytime, however be advised stand reductions may occur. It is advisable to increase seeding rate 20 to 25% if
carryover potential is suspected as outlined under ROTATIONAL CROPPING PRECAUTIONS below.
DO NOT graze or harvest for food or feed cover crops planted less than 9 months after Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide
treatment. DO NOT allow livestock to graze on treated vegetation, or feed treated vegetation or trash to livestock.
ROTATIONAL CROPPING PRECAUTIONS
Under certain conditions, temporary whiten ing or yellowing of leaves may occur on app roved rotational crops where undesirable s oil residues of
Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide exist.
The following factors can contribute to increased risk of injury to rotational crops:
1. Over-application resulting from use of worn nozzles, excessive over-lapping of spray swaths, failing to shut off spray booms when turning
(end row areas) or slowing or stopping sprayer.
2. Soil pH ≤5.9.
3. Extreme dryness in the four months following application.
4. Choice of rotational crop hybrid.
Additional instructions to prevent rotational crop injury may be provided in the form of service bulletins for locations where risk of injury is
significantly increased due to extremely dry conditions.
Refer to Rotational Crop Instructions and Replanting Instructions of specific crops for additional crop planting information.

FALLOW APPLICATION
PRODUCT INFORMATION
Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide may be used as a residual preemergence treatment in all tillage systems to control Ital ian ryegrass
and other labeled weeds during the fallow per iod following crop harvest and before the following labeled crop is planted. The f all application will
need to be followed with a suitable in-season preemergence or post emergence herbicide treatment to provide season long control of the complete
target weed spectrum in the following crop.
For weeds emerging prior to Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide application, tank mixing with a burndown herbicide labeled to control the
target weeds present is necessary. To broaden the weed control spectrum, tank mixing with flumioxazin or metribuzin at labeled rates are effective
options. Follow all label directions, rates, restrictions and precautions on the tank mix herbicide partner labeling.
Application rates vary by soil texture. For coarse textured soils and low CEC soils, apply 12 to 16 fl oz/A (0.27 to 0.38 lb ai /A). For medium texture
soils, apply 16 to 24 fl oz/A (0.38 to 0.56 lbs. ai/A). For fine or heavy soil textures, apply 21 to 28 fl oz/A product (0.49 to 0.66 lb ai/A).
For conventional tillage systems where post-harvest tillage is used to prepare for planting the following spring, it is best to allow rainfall to settle the
beds prior to Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide application. Optimum performance and residual weed control are achieved when the 4-
inch soil depth temperatures are decreasing and are expected to be sustained at less than 55º F and prior to the ground freezing.
PRECAUTIONS
x Application of Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide to fields which have been precision leveled with deep cuts may result i n rice
crop injury including stand loss in the spring following the fall fallow application of Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide. Consult
with rice specialists for soil amending practices which can reduce potential for herbicide injury in precision leveled fields.
x Some conditions may lead to temporary whit ening or yellowing of leaves in approved rota tional crops where soil residues of Com mand
3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide exist. Factors that contribute to carryover include, but are not limited to, over-application, soil pH ≤
5.9, extreme dryness in the four months following application, and/or choice of crop cultivar/hybrid.
ROTATIONAL CROP RESTRICTIONS

REPLANTING INSTRUCTIONS
If the initial planting of rice fails to produce a uniform stand, rice may be replanted in fields treated with Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide.
When tank mixing with a labeled product, refer to the replant instructions for that product. When a tank mix is used, refer to each product’s label for
any additional rotational crop instructions.
PRECAUTIONS
x Caution must be taken to minimize off target drift of Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide as off-site movement can cause f oliar
whitening or yellowing of sensitive plants.
x Application of Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide to fields which have been precision leveled with deep cuts may result i n rice
crop injury including stand loss. Consult with rice specialists for soil amending practices which can reduce potential for herb icide injury in
precision leveled fields.
x Partial weed control may result if levees are pulled after Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide has been applied.

PREEMERGENCE (Prior to Transplant)
Make a single broadcast application in a minimu m of 20 gallons of water per acre at the rate of 32 to 42 fl oz/A (0.75 to 0.98 lb ai/A). For heavy
weed pressure or heavy soil textures use the higher specified rate in the rate range, otherwise less than desirable weed control may result.
Apply immediately before, or up to 30 days prior to transplanting . Apply as a broadcast surface treatment prior to emergence of weeds. If weeds
emerge before the preemergence application can be made, cultivate prior to application. If field conditions indicate the need for additional seedbed
preparation, the use of equipment which will move the herbicide no deeper than 1 1/2 to 2” is acceptable.
PREEMERGENCE (Post Transplant)
Make a single broadcast application in a minimum of 20 gallons of water per acre at the rate of 32 to 42 fl oz/A (0.75 to 1.0 lb ai/A). For heavy weed

PRODUCT INFORMATION
Before applying Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide on vegetable crops, users, growers and/or applicators must review the
VEGETABLE, OIL CROPS AND HERBS DIRECTIONS found in the TERMS OF SALE OR USE section at the end of this label.
Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide may be utilized as a soil applied treatment prior to weed emergence, for suppression or control of
labeled annual grass and broadleaf weeds in the vegetable crops listed above.
Refer to Table 7 for a list of weeds controlled or suppressed and required use rate for efficacy.
Make a single herbicide application in a minimum of 10 gallons of water per acre at the rate(s) specified in the individual crop listings hereafter.
Apply as a preemergence soil applied treatment prior to seeding or transplanting, or after seeding or transplanting but prior to crop emergence as
directed under each individual crop section. Place seed or roots of the transplants, below the chemical barrier when planting. If weeds are present
at the time of Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide application, tank mix an approved postemergence herbicide labeled for cr op,
application timing and weed(s) present.
Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide may be tank mixed with other herbicides registered for use on vegetables to provide a broader
spectrum of controlled weeds. When applying mixtures of Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide plus other vegetable herbicides, it is the
pesticide user’s responsibility to ensure that all products are registered for the intended use. Read and follow the applicable restrictions and
limitations and directions for use on all product labels involved in tank mixing. Users must follow the most restrictive directions for use and
precautionary statements of each product in the tank mixture. Water or liquid fertilizer may be used as a carrier for Command 3ME
Microencapsulated Herbicide when applied alone, or when tank mixed with other vegetable herbicides unless use directions on those labels
specifically restrict use or provide other limitations.
DIRECTIONS
Place seeds or roots of the transplants below the chemical barrier when planting.
Under drought conditions where rainfall has not sufficiently activated and moved Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide through the soil profile,
certain irrigation systems may allow the crop to grow to maturity and not activate Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide. Crop
symptomology may occur late in the season under heavy rainfall situations which reactivate Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide that was
on the soil surface.
Certain crop varieties may have potential for injury or loss due to use of this herbicide. If unfamiliar with using Command 3ME
Microencapsulated Herbicide or tank mixtures containing Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide, it is recommended to use in sm all
areas initially to confirm use rate relative to crop safety and weed control satisfaction for each cultivar planted and soil te xture before large
scale usage. Consult your agricultural experiment station or other qualified crop advisors for information pertaining to crop v arieties grown
and Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide use in your area.
PRECAUTIONS: Temporary whitening and/or yellowing of the treated crop may occur.

* Suppression/Partial Control
1
Weed control with Command 3ME Microencapsulated Herbicide can vary and is highly influenced by a combination of soil texture, C EC, soil moisture and
application rate. Experience from previous use is important for determining product use rate selection to ensure optimum weed c ontrol and avoid excessive
crop chlorosis or bleaching. Use higher label rates based on soil texture criteria for fields with a history of heavy weed pres sure and for extended residual weed
control. For target weed species in fields that have previously been in conservation programs or where heavy weed pressure is a nticipated and/or based on
previous use history and performance. For fields that have previously been in conservation programs, use a minimum application rate of 53 fl oz/A for cocklebur
or common ragweed control.
2
For heavy weed pressure or heavy soil textures, use 27 fl oz/A to control velvetleaf or spurred anoda.
3
Use In AR/LA/MS/TX/OK only—for high pressure and heavy soils use 53 fl oz/A.
4 At minimum 32 fl oz/A use rate.
