Equipment must be adjusted and calibrated to obtain thorough coverage of 
undesirable vegetation. Inadequate coverage and/or the absence of Spreader 
(nonionic) will result in a aevere. reduction of TOPGUN activity. Phoaph~te 
containing l:!qu1d fertilizer lolutions w111 raduce the activity of TOPGUN 
When liquid fertiliz~r solutions containing phosphorus are used with TOPGUN 
and a more rapid kill is desired, use the high TOPGUN label rate.

PREPLANT OR PREffiERGENCE USE - For Kill or EIIlerged AlInuaI Broadleaf Weeds and 
Gra.ses and for Top Kill and SupDression of Perennials - Apply when the weeds 
and grasses are succulent and growth is from 1" to 6" high (larger plants are 
less affected by this treat1llent). Note: To prevent injury to germinating 
crop seedlings, do not apply preplant or preemergence to 80ils lacking clay 
min~ral6, i.e., peat, muck, pure aand, artificial planting media.

Tank Nix With COLONEL. This tank mixture should be used 
for control of emerged annual grass and broadleaf weeds and 
suppression of emerged perennial weeds and for residual control 
of many annual Feeds, including carpetweed, crabgras5, fall

and velvetleaf. Apply as a broadcast spray at the rates

and the amount of water in proportion to the area actually sprayed. 
Hake only one application per year. Apply in orchards where trees have been

shield for young trees. vo not apply to almonds and walnuts when nuts are on 
the ground during the harvest period. Do not allow animals to graze treated 
areas. 
ALFALFA (Pure alfalfa at least 12 months old): For improved 
control of filaree, Jim Hill mustard, and shepherdspurse, 
b -~uegrass, cheatgrass, chickweed, and tansym'Jstard. Broadcast 
the recommended rate of TOPGUN from Table 2 in 20-100 gals. of 
water per acre with ground equipment, or in 5-10 gals. of water 
per acre aerially. Add a nonionic spreader at 16 to 32 fl. oz. 
per 100 gals. diluted spray mix. Apply to established alfalfa 
after the last fall cutting wheil the crop is dormant and 
before spring growth starts. Apply ~lhen weeds are succulent al,d 
growth is 1-6 inches tall. The addition of GRAMOXONE SUPER 
paraquat may be necessary as indicated to obtain adequate emerged 
weed control.

apply if regrowth following the last fall cutting is more than 2 inches tall. \ 
Alfalfa foliage present at application will be burned. (2) Apply once per 
growing season. -
Note: Do not pasture animals in treated fields before first cutting. or 
illegal residues may result. Do not graze J cut, or harvest within 90 days 
after application.
