NUl.'E 'IO PHYSICIAN (Treatment): Atropine is the spe::::ific therapeutic antagonist of

choice against parasynpathetic nervous stimulation. If there are signs of parasyrrpathetic; 
stimulation, atropine sulfate should be injected at 10 minute intervals in ooses 
of 1 to 2 milligrams until <XXll>lete atropinization has occurred. M:::lJ:phine is 
ocntraindicated. Clear dest try postural drainage. Oxygen administration lffiy be 
necessary. Observe patient continoously for 48 oours. Repeated exp::lsure to 
cholinesterase inhibitors may, witrout warning, cause prolonged susceptibility to 
very slffill doses of any clnlinesterase inhibitor. Allow no further exp::lsure until 
the time for cholinesterase regeneration has been detennined by blood tests. ~-PAM 
i.s also antidotal am may be administered in conjunction with atropine.
